This collection explores my years in South East Asia in parallel to my own identity growing

up outside my culture as French & American, but also adopted from China. Sweater

layering and weaving pieces reflect on the overlays of my experiences in different cultures

while the use of asymmetrical seaming is an ode to the conversations revolving around the

question “Where are you from?”. Each converging or diverging seam indicates the internal

and external conversations I’ve had to explain that question which has never been a

straightforward one.
